Minute by minute, first run

1

Min 0-10: the tutorial is a mine

The tutorial asks for 3 scrap; the training cabin holds 11. Take all. Every piece has a name for two chapters.

2

Min 10-25: two bottles before any EVA

Craft 2 improvised O2 bottles before the first long walk. 100% of first suffocations were one-bottle expeditions.

3

Min 25-40: know your coffin

Docking isn't resting, it's going home. Refill, save, craft — all at the coffin. Treat it as a portable checkpoint and the design clicks.

4

Min 40-70: grabber or visor

The first fork. Feel vs. safety both have cases (see strategy) — but skipping both means a chapter-two restart.

5

Min 70-120: the armored coffin

Chapter-two doors are soft walls. Won't open = go upgrade plating, not "ram it ten more times." A fully plated coffin opens more doors than you can memorize.

6

Min 120+: pick your route

By now you've drifted toward a style. Follow the instinct, check it against the strategy page, don't force it.

Four ways to stop breathing

Treating the coffin as storage

It's base + armor + vehicle trinity. Skip the upgrades and chapter two's doors will teach you.

One bottle out the airlock

One bottle = zero margin. Plan any trip past round-trip range as "will die once."

Averting your eyes from bodies

Series tradition: the good loot is near the dead. Moral discomfort is part of the design; resources don't care about manners.

Skipping all text, then asking what the ending meant

40% of the story is in pickup text. Skip it and you watched half a film, then blamed the film.

100% of first suffocations were one-bottle expeditions.

Launch-week questions

Black-comedy survival. Jump scares exist but each comes with a punchline — scared but laughing is the series formula.
