Walkthrough verified on the launch build through chapter three; the finale follows day-two reports and is marked. Chapter names are ours where the game doesn't title them.
I
Prologue: The Convoy
0:00 - 0:30The convoy carrying grandpa's coffin is cut in half by something unnamed. Tutorial: grab, breathe, dock. You will die exactly once in 30 minutes — on purpose.
- ▸ Loot every tutorial scrap — each is worth a later minute
- ▸ First suffocation is scripted, panic optional
- ▸ The coffin is not set dressing, it's your base — realize it early
II
Chapter 1: The Debris Belt
0:30 - 2:30The main debris field. Objective: the mortuary airlock. The bottle-vs-grabber ratio argument starts here and never stops. First floating bodies — loot or avert, your first fake moral choice.
- ▸ Two bottles minimum before any EVA
- ▸ Junction boxes cluster near bodies (series tradition)
- ▸ A save point sits before the airlock — the series' only manual one
III
Chapter 2: The Quarters
2:30 - 4:30Cabins and corridor maze. Coffin plating graduates from "upgrade option" to "clear condition" here. Crew tags appear in flocks — lore-runner territory.
- ▸ A door that won't open means plating, not ramming harder
- ▸ Ice water is strategic this chapter
- ▸ End-of-chapter-2 backtrack: pre-hoarded tags craft the decoder early
Chapter 3: Cargo & Bridge
4:30 - 6:00Cargo hold and bridge, a double region. The scanner is near-mandatory. The crew-log truth closes its circle — if you've been reading, the silence here gets loud.
- ▸ Scanner before any exploring
- ▸ Batteries sit deep in the hold — the thruster pays off now
- ▸ With the decoder in, re-read logs at every chapter close
Finale: The Quiet Signal
6:00 - 6:40[DAY-TWO REPORTS] The final leg toward the signal. Straight in for the normal end; hidden end needs decoder + all tags (see achievements). Whether the final shot "changes" depends on having read the dead.
- ▸ [RECON] Hidden-end flag fires before the last dialogue
- ▸ Oxygen stops mattering — walk the last stretch fully equipped
- ▸ Don't skip the credits: a stinger follows
